Of course, it's that time of year. But looking to see if there are any promotional codes, or offers in shops at the moment, plus where to buy good decent shoes.

Any help would be great. Many thanks Smile

I buy my daughters in Jones - they have a card that gets stamped and every time you buy shoes, you are one step closer to a free pair.

I have found that Clarks arent as good as they used to be and it is getting harder and harder to get decent looking shoes that will last.

If you are anywhere near Norfolk I recommend the startrite factory shop in Norwich, it's fantastic, fitted shoes at a fraction of the price.

We have always bought Clarks except for the odd occasion when we've gone M&S (for the older ones.)

It really is worth paying a bit more for a decent fit and better quailty. Cheap shoes are a false economy - especially for boys - they won't last two minutes.

Thanks ladies. No, we are in Bristol. other side of the country. Do have Clarks village about 30 miles away, but the price in petrol would offset any savings Sad

right! off to John Lewis or Clarks it is then. Smile

CHeck this website www.charlesclinkard.co.uk/
They sell different brands. You can compare the prices with John Lewis. My DS likes Geox. We have not tried other brands. Once he needed winter trainers so we bought Geox ones at John Lewis. Next ones I got from this website. Amazon also sells different brands.

Octavia09 - thanks for the link. I actually went to Charles Clinkard today and bought some Startrite. Tried M&S, John Lewis, Clarks and few others, but either the shops were sold out of DD's size, or the one's that were available, were'nt quite suited.

thanks for the link Smile
