Holiday with the inlaws. Help!

My lovely and very straightlaced inlaws announced today that seeing as I'm due to go back to work in Oct following maternity leave they would like to take baby,dh and I on a little jaunt to Majorca for a few days.
This is very nice of them but it has dawned on me that I own NO summer clothes. I have no idea how it is now nearly Sept and I have nary a hint of a linen trouser nor maxi dress.
I also have a very tight budget seeing as I shall probably need new work clothes too. (Argh!!!)
Can anyone point me in the direction of some fun and quirky summer essentials?
I leave in a week so the race is on!!!!

Ebay, loads of brand new stuff bought in the sales people are selling to make a couple of pounds.

Maryqueenofchocs I fear I shall have to keep my lips zipped as I wouldn't want to spark a fit of jealousy ;)
Unfortunately I am ridiculously highly principled ( and all the more skint for it) and I cannot bear to shop in Primark. I know everywhere else is probably just as bad but I really cannot abide the place.
