Hi, I am really interested in getting one of these but there are no salons local to me that do it.

Has anyone bought the treatment from ebay and applied it themselves at home? If so how did you get on.

Cheers

Bump as I would like to know too...

I did it last week. Easy to do, and my hair looks great.

See my thread.

Sounds like you had a great result roomforthree!

I am not very good at straightening my own hair, especially at the back as it is so thick and curly. Do you think that would have an impact on the overall result?

I am very, very tempted! Just need to find the time to do it!

Do you want to straighten or just improve the condition of your hair?

My hair is straight but flicks out at the ends naturally. This hasn't changed, but the condition has improved dramatically. TBH, I don't think the BKT I used would work as a straightening treatment.

The straightening stage is to seal the keratin into the hair, afaik. Perhaps you could ask someone else to iron the back?

Hi, i just want my hair to be more manageable and to banish the frizz.

I accepted a long time ago that I would never have poker straight hair!

Was your hair really manky in the days after the treatment before you washed it for the first time? Did you manage not tying it back? That would be the hard thing for me as I tie my hair back but normally only cos it is too difficult to try and do much else with it!

I did it last friday, so that I could stay in over the weekend if it looked messy. The treatment didn't leave my hair manky, it was lovely and soft, but it was greasy at the roots by day 3.

I didn't tie my hair back, just straightened out any bits that got kinked overnight.
