What can my mum wear with this dress?

here
It's for my sisters wedding in October. She doesn't want the matching jacket and so far has a flesh pink waterfall cardy which she will move one of the flowers onto from the dress but it's not quite right imo.
She wants sleeves so no pashmina/scarf either.

No, waterfall cardi would be frumpy. She needs some sort of stiffish little shawl think I think...a contrast to the material of the dress. Silvery organza?

It would hide arms if that's what she wants.
It is a hard dress to accessorise as quite flouncy and detailed. easier sometimes to have plainer dress and then jazz up with accessories.

Frumpy is exactly it, she's 60 but recently lost a lot of weight and doesn't look it, plus it's such a pretty dress it woudl be a shame to ruin it with something ugh on top.
Silver sounds doable, she is thinking about silver now...

this is the jacket that's meat to go with it

this to add another colour

possibly this if the jewel tones are right together

personally i'd stick with the jacket and liven it up perhaps with a bright fascinator and shoes, silver maybe

Phase eight this one looks good and not too matchy iyswim

Oh I like the Kalico one. ( By the way I am not far off your mum's age.)

I think Choc is right-stick with 1st jacket she links and jazz up with hat, coat, shoes and so on.

Thanks guys, she did try on the jacket but the colour isn't completely right and she didn't like the way it was too tailored over the floaty dress, plus it is a bit dark for mother of the bridey things (she reckons)
that first phase eight one is exactly the sort of thing I was suggesting so she is off there tomorrow for a closer look, thanks!
