I had my style/colours done afew months ago by Colour Me Beautiful (I am cool & warm, and a soft inverted triangle) Grin

It was really useful but since I've done it I cant seem to find anything to buy. I desperately need some new tops for Autumn and I cant see anything that I like AND would suit me.

Feeling a little lost....

Should point out I am 5'2 and have huuuge norks, so am also limited in that way.

Bravissimo do clothes that fit over the large of nork, if that's any good!

MNTotoro · 23/08/2010 20:20

Had forgotten about Bravissimo. Used to shop then when I was working. Will take a look.

Couldn't find anything. Just spent ages on John Lewis website and still cant see anything.

Think I need to hibernate for the autumn/winter Grin

What kind of style/colours do you like Toturo? Have you seen anything you vaguely like and then link to that? Grin
I have spent a while looking for tops lately and huge of nork too so perhaps we can help each other.

Hi AQ

I quite like Empire line tops. Plainish - not patternered although the odd embellishment is fine.

Always v-neck.

Previously I have liked John Rocha, Red Herring, Wallis, (some) Next.

MNTotoro · 24/08/2010 08:45

And colour-wise tend to go for (any) blue, red, green, orange. Brights, not muted.

Will have a look through my bookmarks tonight and see if there's anything that fits the bill. Presumably you've checked all of those shops and nothing?

MNTotoro · 24/08/2010 16:37

Yep :)

OP posts:
accessorizequeen · 24/08/2010 20:29

Is this anywhere near? Red, empire line, plain.
white stuff v neck t??

MNTotoro · 24/08/2010 20:55

AQ - The first top is lovely but the colour is a bit dull. I go for more postbox reds :)

The second top is lovely too but again the colour isnt quite right. Will look at the whitestuff website now though.

OP posts:
MNTotoro · 24/08/2010 20:56

BTW, what clothes are you after?

OP posts:
accessorizequeen · 24/08/2010 21:02

Hmm, I think the colours at present are fairly muted, grey the colour of the season as far as I can tell. Shall keep my eye out for you!
I need an entire new wardrobe, I don't know where to start but losing several stone would probably help before I bought anything! Sigh...

MNTotoro · 24/08/2010 21:02

I like this one which is similar to the one you mentioned www.whitestuff.com/SS-REUNION-TEE-P27615/ sadly, it is out of stock in my size.

OP posts:
MNTotoro · 24/08/2010 21:03

Thanks AQ - I know your right about the colours. I just cant wear grey tops at all though. I'll look for muted greens and blues I think.

I eed to lose about a stone too. Sigh.

OP posts:
accessorizequeen · 24/08/2010 21:11

I think you'd look good in muted colours too, would you consider smallish pattern? I don't think grey suits many people, it never has me.
Have you checked John Lewis for that top, they stock White Stuff (House of Fraser might too, not sure).

accessorizequeen · 24/08/2010 21:12

Hey I thought you wanted l/s tops! Try Fatface for similar s/s tops maybe?

MNTotoro · 24/08/2010 21:14

Haha - happy with s/s tops too.

Would consider small pattern, but not big.

I often where muted blues and greens so no biggie with the colours.

Will check John Lewis.

OP posts:
MNTotoro · 24/08/2010 21:18

I quite like this but it is much busier pattern than I would normally go for. Would I look like a heifer in it? www.johnlewis.com/88009/Style.aspx

Also, what is white stuff siaing like?

OP posts:
MNTotoro · 24/08/2010 21:18

I just noticed they dont do it in a size 16 so dont worry.

OP posts:
accessorizequeen · 24/08/2010 21:26

It think it's lovely, wouldn't describe it as busy by any means, perhaps keep looking for something like it? Monsoon usually do a lot of mock wrap tops. not sure about this but bright?

MNTotoro · 25/08/2010 08:11

AQ -I have a top that is almost identical to that one in an emerald green. It is lovely, from Laura Ashley.

I will check out Monsoon and L Ashkly today.

OP posts:
MNTotoro · 25/08/2010 08:12

Ph, it was Laura ashley? It is my top - just in new colour Grin

OP posts:
accessorizequeen · 26/08/2010 20:59

That is quite amusing Toturo! Have you found anything you fancy yet?

MNTotoro · 26/08/2010 22:11

Hi AQ

In the interests of my sanity I have ordered a few bits from (sssshhh) asda direct. It cost me about £40 for 4 tops and a pair of jeggings. They arent empire line but they're simple tops in colours I like (pale blue, black, and an orangey colour).

I'm going to wait until the Autumn/Winter stuff comes in and then review properly.
