Sensible shoes...

Am pregnant and need to hang up my heels for work. My dress code is smart so I can't get away with any trainers, flip-flops, open toe shoes...

Can anyone find me some shoes that I can wear with both skirts and trousers and not look a total frump? (not to pricey)

How about some brogues?

Biscuitbreaker · 23/08/2010 12:56

I really like them, but think they will look frumpy with my sensible skirts...

those brogues rae nice but the irony would be totally lost on a middle aged woman like myself i think and just look grannyish

I've just bought these from Aldo?

Biscuitbreaker · 23/08/2010 14:42

How high a heel do you think would be reasonable... Aldo have some nice 2.5 inch heels which seem small to me...

But should I be going flatter?

Bump - am desperate. The Aldo ones were horrid.

Ooh I am in the same boat. I am known at work for my killer heels and find shopping for sensible shoes depressing and very difficult! My favourite winter footwear is my patent leather 6 inch heeled knee high boots. Unfortunately they won't be making an appearance this year Sad

And i totally agree about the Aldo ones!

I don't know how you'd feel about the bow, but they are smart with a proper sole and will go with anything, even jeans.

Biscuit, Amazon have a big clearance sale atm and they have Fly London at massively reduced prices. I've just bought four pairs of shoes - wedges, loafers, low courts and slingbacks and all have really good soles for not slipping and aren't too high.
