Help me find an evening dress ...

I've got a bit of a 'do' to go to soon. It's black tie, so ideally I'd like something floor-length or 3/4 length. I'm size 12 and got dark hair/pale skin so the 'winter' colours of dark red, blue, green, purple suit me. Struggling to find something I like. Willing to spend up to £150 on it. One key point - after having bf'd 2 DCs I can't really do strapless, so I'd like to wear a bra underneath it. Any ideas?

Ooh I like this game!

Black floor length £125

Purple taffeta £120

Dark green £120

Black 3/4 with detailing on back £150

Purple floor length £160

Darl Teal with detailing on back

I would say it's worth trying on dresses that look like you can't wear with a bra. If you're lucky they'll be the right size for your cup-size to give your boobs some support. With everyday clothes, I definitely need a bra (pretty large, definitely southwards!), but some of my dresses are fine without a bra because they support me.

Monsoon and Debenhams are great places for evening dresses IME.

Thanks lowrib. I think the dark green one is my favourite so far, so unless there are any late minute entries, that may be the one Smile
