Vegas and San Francisco

two different climates, what shall I pack?

Jeans and t-shirts with may be a fleece in SF. Depends really...will you be out much at night? Are you wanting fine dining or just out for a quick bite? USA is pretty relaxed though so trousers and a top is fine for anything smarter.

well, we are planning on a couple of shows in Vegas. In San Fran I would love to find a couple of cool bars but Im not sure of the area, we are staying on Union Square. Planning on cycling and doing plenty of sight seeing as well!! I know the climates are pretty different.

Have you thought about what shows you might see?
We saw 'love' by Cirque de Soleil and I was so blown away I nearly cried .

Also saw 'Mystere' by CdS which was also excellent but outclassed by 'Love' I thought.

Take flipflops for Vegas, it is boiling, and you won't want to stay inside with aircon the entire time.

In SF you always need to have something warm with you, even on the hottest day the mist can blow in at any time and leave you shivering!

Have a fab time. I am sooo !!

Im quite nervous tbh. I dont know why, just dont want to look scruffy but I dont want to buy a load of new clothes for it.

We will go and see a CDS show Ive been told they are all great. TBH Im looking forward to a good Elvis impersonator!!

Take an empty suitcase/large travel bag inside your own and buy lots of new clothes to suit whilst your there Lots of good shopping to be had in both places

I know but I dont want to spend my holiday shopping. I will save it for San Fran at the end.

I will start a thread before I go. Theres always good advice on bargains on here!!

Well keep it mainly casual but with something smarter for your nights out in Vegas. Try and take a pair of flip flops that can double up with something smarter for the evening.

oooh how I love SF. Very jealous!
