anyone tried phyta oil or phyta lotion?
alternatively has anyone tried simply buying some rosehip oil and rubbing it on their face etc to see whether the effects are as good?

I haven't tried rosehip oil... hadn't even thought of that!

I love phyta oil and lotion though. Really nice products and really seem to work.

I also love that the oil has a spray so I don't make a big fat oily mess everywhere every time I use it (or at least not such a big fat oily mess)!

thanks theretheyare, did you send off for yours or buy it from one of the few stockists? i think they sell in some tesco extra stores but not much to chose from in terms of stockists

I use rosehip oil on face and body and am now waiting for some phytalotion on order.(Nutricentre is taking forever to send the order out so worth going somewhere else..)

The pure rosehip oil is good - not greasy at all and you only need a little bit.

lavender11 · 23/08/2010 10:36

where do you buy your rosehip oil from swans?

I've got free samples of Phyta Oil and Lotion at the moment. I ordered them via a link someone posted here so will see if I can find it for you..

Anyway, Phyta Oil is lovely. I've been putting it on my face at night and my skin is smoother and softer.

I got mine from the Highland Health store in Perth, lavender. It was £9 which is a lot but it lasts for ages.

It works wonders on very dry skin and it is super on lips.

lavender11 · 23/08/2010 13:31

Born, yes that is what I have heard. I am a bit sceptical about claims by any of the more "commercial" products as to what they can achieve (unless you can spend ££££ where I guess there might be some truth but i cannot spend ££££) so am always on the look out for alternatives which really do have some kind of results even if not miracle results (like face lift style results). smoother and softer sounds good.
swans I wonder whether the highland health store does online purchases (as I dont live in scotland) otherwise I am still on the hunt for some reasonably priced plain rosehip oil (if it does much the same thing as phyta). i wonder whether holland & barrett or similar do something. now i am thinking aloud i will stop wittering

I can't find the link to the free samples now, sorry!

theretheyare · 23/08/2010 15:29

Swans how long have you had to wait for your order? I ordered mine from nutricentre too and it wasn't super fast but I certainly didn't have to wait for ages.

GreatUncleBulgaria · 23/08/2010 15:37

Never used phyta oil but I always use Rosehip Oil as my moisturiser. I get it from online from here

SwansEatQuince · 23/08/2010 15:42

Three weeks now, there.

This place sells it if you scroll almost all the way down.

The Highland Health store do not have a web site but I think most health food/ product places would sell it. It is 100% oil, has no smell and I really do think it has made a difference - my eldest son and I have been trying it for about a month but it is recommended to try it for at least three months.

lavender11 · 23/08/2010 16:58

GreatUncleBulgaria the price on your site is quite good i wonder what extra phyta has compared with pure rosehip and whether it does anything more to justify the extra expense

OP posts:
theretheyare · 23/08/2010 17:05

3 weeks is a bit rubbish - have you asked/complained? Am sure mine didn't take that long.

I think Phytaoil/lotion have vitamin E in - or is that in rosehip oil anyway?

SwansEatQuince · 23/08/2010 19:15

I emailed a few times then had a reply saying that they had run out and would perhaps get some more stock in on the 26th of this month.

The original order was made on the 6th...

theretheyare · 23/08/2010 20:25

Very miffing indeed. But I guess if they don't have any to send you... hope it arrives soon!

BornToFolk · 24/08/2010 09:21

I found the link to the samples but it's saying they are out of stock now...

SwansEatQuince · 24/08/2010 11:29

You can still add your name to the list and they will be sent out eventually...
