Cruise ID Holder Lanyard

Hi

My mums going on a cruise so I wanted to get her a small gift to use whilst away. I am going to get her a lanyard ie card holder to stick around her neck.

Apparently on a cruise you don't tend to use cash they allocate a card which tots up how much you spend. Then at end of cruise you pay the bill. So I think the card looks a bit like a credit card.

I just wanted your advice. I am getting one made on etsy.com Its going to bed red ribbon tied all the way down with celtic knots and letter beads around either side of the drop where the credit card will be below. Just wanted suggestions as to what to put in the beads. Possibility;

Her name -Cherly
Her cabin number
Safe Journey - in Welsh
Something else?

Yes, you are right that it is a credit card sized thing you get. I like the idea of safe journey in Welsh. Can be a topic of conversation with other cruisers too.

Personally, I wouldn't go with cabin numbers or personal references but I am a bit anal about my private information....others might not be!

Where is the cruise going?

How many ports? Could you put the ports on it?

They are going around the Med starting in Barcelona. I like the port ideas but I think I have left it a bit late. They would need to be individual stamped disks rather than alphabet beads. So will go with Welsh safe journey I think. ;)
