Any solutions for acne please?

Hi all, I managed to developed acne after my 30s, unbelivable! any information please? don't know what to do, and really don't want to take medications.

Is there a specific reason you don't want to take any medication? To be honest, that's probably about the only thing that is guaranteed to sort out acne. Topical preparations can help but spots are often caused by underlying hormonal imbalances and there aren't any creams that can sort that out!

That said, you can get a topical cream (prescription-only) that uses the same active ingredient as roaccutane - might be a good compromise? TBH, even if you're not keen on the medication idea, it might be worth having a chat to your GP anyway to see what your options are. I suffered from bad skin for years so I know how rubbish it feels!

I've tried different kinds of creams nothing has done anything. the only thing that completely handled my acnes was IPL - its a sort of light treatment far better than laser and it really works! I've had about 4 treatments only and never had acne anymore, I usually get my treatments at the pulse light clinic,they are really good, I keep saying to the nurse whose does the treatments that she gave me back my wonderful skin I really don't remember they website but if you google pulse light clinic it will probably come up.
