Planning a shopping trip for key winter items.

Any ideas what will be 'in' next season or shall I just buy vogue?!!

Well there is what magazines like Vogue will deem is "in" and there us what is actually wearable without getting laughed at....

From what I have gleaned so far I would say

camel (colour), esp for coats & knitwear
leopardskin accesories
bootcut trousers
cropped trousers
kitten heels
loafers
military look for boots & coats

Not sure about the high heel walking boots They sound worse than clog boots.

I think the high heeled hiking boots sound excellent for navigating the car park at work which is a quagmire, and the muddy ditch next to our gate. After all, platform soles were designed to help ladies traverse the London mud

Am finding most of my list to be stuff I will definitely not be buying

Me too, numpty - I've only just go to be skinny enough myself to wear them, so don't want them to go away yet.

Second the camel, leopard print and kitten heels suggestions. Skinny belts, wide leg trousers, military jackets(again), velvet, and winter maxis are also meant to be hot this season too. These trends are just a concoction by the fashion industry to make us think we need these items but I don't need an excuse!

Lots of knitted dresses and especially A line

Prettyfied stuff with lace (good if petite like me)

Camel is lovely so long as creamier versions

I think everything seems quite pared down luxe and a bit of a vintage and military feel again which all suits me

Not sure about boots but think shoe boots of any kind still okay. Need to get calves slimmer though for them...
