Comfortable women's shoes

Does anyone have any suggestions of comfortable shoe brands? I've spent the summer in my very comfy fitflops and went to buy some cheap ballet pumps and was horrified at how uncomfortable they were. I guess it's a sign of getting old that I am no longer prepared to wear cheap nasty shoes, but I have no clue on where to start with adult's shoes. Please someone help me!

I am v impressed with M&S "footglove" shoes.

it's the only brand I've found that makes reasonable (not overly fussy) wide fit shoes.

ecco also super comfy, but super expensive too

I love El Naturalista shoes. I have a summer pair and a winter pair that I have been wearing for 3 years now and I want them to fall apart so I can buy a new style. They are not everyones cup of tea, as they aren't all that dainty, but there are a few new styles on their website that are more feminine. They aren't cheap, but they last and they are so comfy. The only thing that troubled me about the winter ones I bought is that they sole squeaked and drove me mad, but after the rest for the summer they were fine Grin.

I always wear Clarks these days - they've got some really nice shoes and always comfy

Thanks! I'd rather buy shoes from a shop so that I can try them on rather than online, so I will check out m and s and clarks. Thanks again.

I've always bought my El Naturalista shoes in shops for the same reason. Check out their list of stockists.

Ah sorry I didn't realise you could get them in shops as well, baby brain sorry! Will have a look.

My friend says Shuropody sells very comfy shoes, boots, sandals for ladies.

You can check shoes in store and then buy on line if the price is cheaper incl P&P.

I've bought some Rieker shoes from waltersshoes.co.uk, they are so comfy. I had Rieker boots last autumn and wore and wore them and they still look good. FitFlop and Clarks are also good.
