i just got one it's ok but wondering what exactly the padding does - can't be to make you look bigger as there are so many like it now

Is it better suport maybe? Or better shape?
I wear the thin padded t shirt bras.

If you are a 36E, the last thing you actually want is a padded bra. With a padded bra, I look like something topheavy and unreal and, well, a bit like the Ark Royal. I do wish people would stop doing padded bras. They don't have many at Bravissimo, fortunately.

ArseHolio · 18/08/2010 20:35

I am 36E and prefer slightly padded bras 'cos it means I don't start poking peoples eyes out with my nips as soon as it gets a bit nippy chilly.

I also think they give me a better shape and are more supportive.

southeastastra · 18/08/2010 20:39

oh i suppose they do look more shapely. Grin at ark royal

Yeap - what arseholio says.

Also pregnancy and bf takes away the fullness in the top part of your breast in my experience so non-padded ones just look a bit rubbish.

I think they look smoother under t-shirts/slinky tops - without them my boobs look lumpy and pointy. I dislike lacy bras for that reason too. BiscuitBiscuit

without padding my boobs look like snoopys nose

Shaz10 · 18/08/2010 20:59

I'm a 38F and love the padding. My boobs actually stick out front instead of merging with my stomach!
