getting a flatter tummy in one week?! Any miracles out there?

What would anyone suggest to help me look a little more svelte for my holiday in just over a week? I am only bothered about my tummy (no wonder when I've had 6 children....am thinking of a tuck maybe when I'm sure I won't have any more)

I suppose the obvious might be to out out bread and drink lots of water?

Eliminate all white carbs and ALL sugar, eat lots of protein and green vegetables and nuts. Tough but it really works.

So, eggs for breakfast, fish and salad for lunch, chicken and veggies for dinner, hummous and nuts as snacks.

Enjoy your holiday Smile

As above, and tense your stomach muscles as much as you can, when walking around and sitting (remember to breathe!)

Pot noodles. Seriously. A pot noodle for breakfast and lunch then a light healthy tea. Only as an emergency measure though and never for more than a few days at most!

I agree with Verity, no carb for a week and you will be flat as a pancake by this time next week.

Thanks all. I'd probably be skinny if I ate Pot Noddle because it would make me hurl (sorry, no offence intended!)

Flat as a pancake is wishful thinking sadly - but flatter than I am right now would be excellent!

"no carb for a week and you will be flat as a pancake by this time next week."

Really? I'm going to try it, and if it doesn't work, I'm going to come back and shout at you! Grin

It's true, Lynette, I read it on the internet.

No seriously, that may be an exaggeration but I cut out all wheat and sugar and I've lost 2 stone in 12 weeks and my tummy is one of the main beneficiaries. Two more stone to go and then I reckon it WILL be flat as a pancake. So if the OP doesn't really need to lose much weight, it should be quite effective (I lost 9lbs in first fortnight).

I've done this too TheFirstLady. I wasn't exactly ruthless about the carbs, as I kept whole grains and potatoes (but no chips) and the odd banana. But I stopped all crackers and cakes, ice cream, and dessert in general except for fresh fruit. However, chocolate remained. I found eating a large breakfast was very helpful, and cutting coffee out completely made me less likely to become all jittery and craving sweet things at around 10 o'clock. It's just tea for me now.

Plus a brisk walk every evening.
