Total Sunblock for face

I am about to embark on laser hair removal for top lip and need a total sunblock.

I am Asian with combination sensitive skin. Dermalogica really suits me.

I cant seem to find out what spf a total sunblock should be.

Any help out there please ?

Is there such a thing here?

I would ring the place where you are having the LHR done for their recommendation.

I imagine it would be SPF50+ (max SPF in E.U.) but these are quite whitish in colour so you'd have to test out a suitable one so it's not too noticeable on your skin.
They do blend in after a while though.

There are some recent threads about high SPF facial moisturisers mentioning Kiehls, MAC, Clinique City block and others or alternatively just use the SPF 50+ baby sunscreens (if your face can cope with it!)

(Boots No 7 facial SPF50 is a bit greasy IMO - I use it for the body so don't bother with this one)

Defo recommend La Roche Posay Anthelios. It's a factor 50 and is paraben free and low in chemicals. Suitable for skins that normally react to sunscreen and formulated for the face. I use it every day as my normal moisturiser. There is a combination/sensitive one in the range - I think it's about 15.00 in some chemists or available online from boots.
