Camisoles, Boden and other ones.

I have a number of tops and dresses that have quite a low V neck. Often, the neck doesn't look that bad when I buy the item, but after an hour or 2 wearing it, it gets "rearranged". Especially if my bfing DC is anywhere near.

I therefore need a camisole or 3. I bought a couple from M and S last year. However, they had a lace trim on, and the effect was a little bit underwear-ish, it might have been a slip peeping through.

I looked on M and S and the camis they have at the moment for under £10 didn't look very nice.

Boden have these, which are £10 each if I buy 2 with the £10 off £30 discount code. They look nicer to me and have fab reviews. I note also that the straps are adjustable so that you can fix the desired level of cleavage, which is good.

I wondered however, does anyone else have these? How did you get on with them? Are there better / cheaper alternatives in natural fibers? And what abut size - should I size up (could be too baggy and threfore gape) or size down (could be too tight and therefore gape) as I am between sizes?

I've got a few Boden camisoles and I would say they are better than M & S. Liked the previous style they did but this one is good too - I would size down.

Are you near a Uniqlo? I think they have an online store too. They have the best underthings - v. cheapo plain cotton ones but also slighty more expensive ones (but still less than a tenner!) which are cooling in summer, and thermal ones in winter. They are fantastic, but if you are not tiny, go up a size from usual as they are all designed for minute Japanese women (not broad shouldered large northern Europeans like me!).

I had a look at Uniqlo online as there is no store near me.

I think I prefer the design of the Boden ones and would probably rather have cottn next to my skin. Also I am tall and would be at the upper limit of the Uniqlo sizing so I thought Boden might be a better bet.

I have these for wearing under low cut tops. They are quite basic, and not in the least bit glamourous, but I have had mine for 12 months and they are still as good as new (and the white ones are still white too).

Oh, I don't mind basic. But I have various (old) M and S camisoles with a V shape, and they tend to gape (am a 32G). I think I need ones that go more straight across. The adjustable straps might be helpful also, for keeping me decent.

employmentlawquery, I'm tall and long in the body and the current Boden camis are long enough.

I haven't ordered any of this season's Boden camis but I have several from past seasons and I would say are worth the cost - they keep their shape very well, don't stretch or go baggy. I personally think they are usually true to size, but if you have got a free returns code may be worth trying a couple of sizes.

I struggle to find camis that don't have the sewn-in cups (do these actually work on anybody?) - Uniqlo do some nice ribbed cotton lace-trim ones.

Do those Boden ones work on a large bust? I usually avoid any camis that have the empire line sewn in...

they do mippy, I have 36J's and the empire line is not all the way under the bust but is below the frontest part so is minimising. Good adjustableness too.

And I have just had 2 x 2 delivered for a total of £40, the peacock (rich blue), pine (pale green), aubergine and smoke (a sort of deep grey). I am trying out the peacock one and am pleased so far, although as usual the neckline is showing a sort of downward shift, down my cleavage. Also they are not as adjustable in real life as I thought they would be, But overall v pleased.
