Necklace and Jewellry Storage

I have a few long necklaces that I need to find some way of storing. Any ideas ?I cant do the nails in the wall trick and I've tried hanging them on a hangar but that doesn't work as there are too many of them.

All my other ear rings and bracelets need storing too.

I have all my necklaces hung on the inside of my wardrobe door. The doors are wooden so have pushed in plain white drawing pins.

Don't wear earrings but keep my bracelets in a jewellery box (although the thinner bracelets are also hung on the door).

I'm keen to know as well op.
LM- do they not make a noise when you open the wardrobe door?
Mine are around the hanger of the corresponding outfit [ocd coming out there] but I'd like to know of an alternative.

I have one of those hands which you either love or hate...

Lots of my necklaces are long, so they'd trail in a jumble on my dressing table (is getting upset at image)

LouMacca · 16/08/2010 13:27

Yes, they do make a noise when you open the wardrobe door Smile. It's especially annoying when DH has an early start! But I haven't come up with any better ideas yet......

My SIL had a nice thing on her wall, it was perspex with knobs on to hang necklaces- but she was given it as a gift so didn't know where it came from.

Oh all sounds interesting- back of my wardrobe door is full of belts and I forgot to mention I don't have a dressing table or space for one .

I use an ikea tree thing for neclaces and bracelets, but in white. works very effectively

domesticsluttery · 16/08/2010 14:13

My long necklaces hang from the end of the curtain rail!

It looks quite pretty in a strange kind of way.

NellieTheEllie · 16/08/2010 14:20

this would work

deaddei · 16/08/2010 15:40

That is the sort of website I could order lots from nellie.......
Let's talk belts.
Mine are rolled up in a drawer, but is there something better?

Rexy · 16/08/2010 15:44

Nellie' it's practical but maybe too plastic looking - or is that the only option ? Got some bracelets on a metal cup tree holder.

My necklaces are all hanging from the hand-towel rail in our bathroom.

I recently bought a glass topped wooden sectioned box from Zara Home to keep most of my every day stuff in. Stops it getting dusty without shutting it away in a box so I can;t see it.

The rest is in various boxes in the bathroom cupboards.

I ahve my big necklaces draped around the neck of an old dressmakers dummy in my room

RipMacWinkle · 16/08/2010 20:46

Sounds totally naff but I have these on the inside of my wardrobe doors. These have revolutionised my necklace wearing. DH scoffed when I got them but now acknowledges that a) my necklaces no longer get tangled and b) I make quick decisions on what to throw on when I take out my clothes

necklace storage

deaddei · 16/08/2010 21:05

I KNEW you'd have something like that cyb Smile
Can't fit one in my bedroom sadly.

deaddei · 16/08/2010 21:06

I can feel an amazon order coming on.

cyb · 16/08/2010 21:09

lol

For my more delicate necklaces I ahve a pretty t shaped stand that I hang them on . And a mini one that I can poke earrings into
