Can anyone find me a (much much) cheaper version of these....

I am getting married in a few months (on a ridiculously tight budget).

I will be wearing a floor length dress, but my usual day to day clothes are quite boring. I really really want to wear some lovely girly over sparkly shoes. I know they won't be seen much but it will make me happy knowing they are there.

Anyway I LOVE these but they are no-where near what I can pay.

these are much more in my price range and very pretty but I would prefer them in pink, but I can't find a similar thing in pink anywhere.

Can anyone help.

Oh and I know lots of you will think these are hideous but it's my wedding day and I want to be secretly sparkly for just one day.

Are we talking baby pink or shocking pink?

cybilliberty · 16/08/2010 09:33

loads of pinks here

truthisinthewine · 16/08/2010 09:34

Light Pink, but actually the second ones I linked to also come in Teal which might be pretty. Can't really tell the colour from the website.

what colour is your dress?

truthisinthewine · 16/08/2010 09:40

I don't have one yet, but it will be fairly plain and ivory in colour.

Lots of nice shoes here

TitsalinaBumSquash · 16/08/2010 09:48

these are gorgeous in pink.

bhs have lots more to

cybilliberty · 16/08/2010 09:48

how about gold or silver shoes? I fear colored might look a little out of place

truthisinthewine · 16/08/2010 09:53

Hmmmm I do worry the colour might look funny, having never worn a wedding dress before I'm not sure what 'goes' just the thought of matching ivory shoes just seems so dull.

However I do quite like the ivory Dolcis ones so maybe I could be persuaded to not have colour shoes.

here?

I wore satin pink peep-toe dusky rose colour shoes from Jones for my wedding, with a champagne coloured wedding dress - shoes matched my flowers and fascinator perfectly and I still wear them now, whereas I can't think when I would have worn white shoes again. Happy shopping!

these?

bonnymiffy · 16/08/2010 12:01

I bought my wedding shoes (ankle boots, actually) from here and they seem to have quite a bit of choice. Maybe not quite as sparkly as some that others have already mentioned, but they can dye them to any colour you like.

I watched a US episode of Fourweddings where the bride bought a cheapish pair of shoes, bought the little crystals, and glued them on! It worked brilliantly, didnt look home made at all! Thought it was an excellent idea, they turned out looking just like the shoes on the link you posted!

I have a pair of size 6 silver high heeled courts in good condition. They are ballroom dancing shoes so quite glitzy but hardly worn and look nicer than they sound. You are welcome to them if they fit-you could use them as a trial run to do puppies idea and if it works get a pair you really like If you want them just email me your address ([email protected]) good luck by the way my wedding was a shoestring affair and ten years on with three kids I can honestly say it was the best day of my life...and we are still happy.

A friend of mine got married recently in a Monsoon cream wedding tunic (very short), cream tights and red Prada's with 5 inch heels!! The coloured shoes looked fab!
