Suits for work

I'm going back to work after maternity leave and have decided all my work clothes are dreadful.

I'm not just stropping - two winters ago I knew I was starting TTC soon so didn't see the point in shelling out, then I was pregnant, and now everything is old and a bit minging with the exception of one red shirt and a pair of black work trousers.

I need suits which don't make me look ancient. I'm 35 but some of my work stuff is v frumpy. Help! Where should I be shopping? I want quality stuff but can't afford the really expensive labels...

I have just had a similar 'moment'!

I went to our local debenhams which I NEVER normally consider, but my mum took me there, and there were some very good concessions, and coupled with a decent sale, I picked up a couple of lovely things eg A John Rocha dress for £55 (not in sale) and a Jasper Conran jacket (reduced from £90 to £27)

I would also say though that a lot of shops don't seem to have their winter workwear in yet.
