hi all
I am booked into my local salon to change my hair colour from light blonde (all over highlights) to a darker blonde, closer to my natural colour. The salon haven't seen my hair yet and I was wondering if it is even possible to do???
anyone know?
thanks in advance xxx

Yes, it is possible. But bear in mind that bleached hair is far more porous than normal hair, so it is easy to colour but then it washes out really quickly, even with permanent dyes. I would recommend doing a protein treatment before going for the appointment or asking the hairdresser to do one for you. Proteins help reduce the hair's porosity even after bleaching. Phone the salon, if you like, and ask them if they have any such treatments, for example Redken CAT, Joico K-Pak Deep Reconstructor, Aphogee two-step etc. If they don't, then you can do buy them in salons that carry them and do it yourself at home. You will need a good moisturising conditioner to use immediately after the protein treatment. Then the new colour should go on more evenly and last longer.
