Depressing question - but can I wear opaques today?

I'm going out later and wearing a dress. I'm wondering whether it's cold/murky enough to get away with opaque tights. It feels wrong wearing them in August. It's either opaques or bare legs because according to retailers, women with legs darker than 'natural tan' don't want flesh coloured tights Hmm.

Know what you mean....I wanted to wear opaques this week too. Can't wait til Autumn and I can get back into them without feeling all wrong and worrying about potential funny looks from strangers. BUT.... I've seen so many people wearing thick warm boots all summer and I saw someone else wearing opaques last week....so why not you also? What style & colour dress is it? Would footless tights go with it? If so, I'd recommend that instead.

It's not that cold - where's your stamina?

Today I see people wearing boots and opaques - in August it's just wrong I tell you. Wear some trews!

It's a black dress with white polka dots. It's quite summery despite the colour because it's sleveless and ruffled. I was going to wear a red cardigan over the top.

Footless tights are a no because I have very short, fat legs.

I may go for the east option of nice top and jeans Hmm

Go for the tights I have seen loads of people in them over the last few days!
