Dungarees for boys that aren't yawnsville. Help!

Boooooooooooooored of putting DS (9mo) in pretty much the same outfit every day. Basically denim dungarees over plain long/short sleeved vest.

Dungarees are my leg coverage of preference for him, as trousers either get crawled out of or are a pain to put back on after nappy changes (dungarees have the poppers)

Dungarees seem to come only in shades of blue or occasionally brown. DULLDULLDULLDULL!!

Why can't I find any that have different colours and/or fun patterns?

Do they even exist??

I got some nice red ones and blue checked ones from Next (DS is 10 months). They even came with funky vests too which was a bonus!

Just had a look and the winter range looks pretty drab!! They had lovely ones for summer though.

You could also try romper suits (i.e sleepsuits with no feet)? I put DS in those too.

ApuskiDusky · 13/08/2010 09:53

I've been on exactly the same hunt; agree that Next do a few in strong colours, also found a couple by Blue Zoo at Debenhams, and got a nice marl grey one from John Lewis, which is really cosy.

sunchild77 · 13/08/2010 10:00

Oh I love dungarees snuggle, and I loved putting bb sunchild in them. Im on the same hunt now, but its virtually impossible to find them for wee boys over 3 :(
I LOVE my boy in dungarees so much, but I need age 3-4. I dont care if they are blue or brown, although Im not putting him in pink ones ;)

Anyone with inspiration (other than mothercare?) please?

snugglejunkie · 13/08/2010 10:15

Yes - had a look at Next already Igglybuff, agree that it is fairly drab! The neutral check ones are sort of cute, but I'm looking for something slightly louder (more like my DS Grin)

ApuskiDusky Blue Zoo do indeed tend to have slightly brighter funkier clothes, and the ones with the dino on the front are at least a bright blue and a little more the sort of thing I'm looking for.

However you really don't see any print dungarees do you? I tried Cath Kidston, thinking they might have something 'different' but no joy. E.g. think this would look v cute as cord dungarees
(they have demin dungarees with a print lining - what good is the lining!!!)

Anyone got any other suggestions??

Best ones ever are OshKosh, but I don't know who stocks them in the UK. DS has many pairs loving saved for him by my sister. They are also completely indestructible.

Pluto · 13/08/2010 12:12

I love that doggie pattern - there are hoodies and tees and leggings in that design too and in orange I think. I get a lot of things for DS from this site and also from www.nordickids.co.uk

Igglybuff · 13/08/2010 12:25

Ooo loads of stuff! I'm going to check some of this out as need to get DS some more things.

snugglejunkie · 13/08/2010 12:39

Excellent - lots of ideas. Keep 'em coming. Smile
