I saw fab hair I love. I want it! Do you think it's deceptively high maintenance?

My hair is naturally totally straight and long and layered ATM. Dull but easy Biscuit

The bob? Had my hair in variations of this for years because its so easy. My hair is fine and straightish. Blast of the hairdryer. V quickly pull straighteners through and thats it. V easy.

Yeah, sort of bob, longer at the back. maybe something going on at the ends?

My hair's fine too. What would straighteners do to straight hair Confused, am rather out of touch after 2 DC in 2 years...

Straighteners (for me anyway) mean you don't have to faff about with a brush when blow drying. Call it smoothing if you like. Also allows you to do "things" with the ends - flicks in or out or dead straight. They're fab!

OOoooooo. I want some Grin (how did I miss this?)

I've had long, layered hair for years. 'tis definitely time for a change, I've neglected myself for long enough

Go for it. Grin

DrivenToDistraction · 13/08/2010 00:10

I shall seriously consider it Grin

Off to sleep on it. TBH I've grown and cut my hair so many times and never have it not regretted having it chopped. I'm 32, if I cut it off now I'll probably never be able to have it long again without looking like mutton. Gah.

OK, more daft questions. How quickly does ths sort of thing grow out of model? Would I have to be off to the hairdresser every 6 weeks too have it trimmed? My current mop stays looking fine with 4-6 monthly cuts, it'd be fine for much longer if I didn't get split ends.
