Hi:)
I have a wedding to go to in 6 weeks and I'm wondering what the heck to wear.

I'm a jeans and shirt type person and as my job doesn't require smart clothes I don't own any and I haven't worn a skirt in YEARS! I think I'd rather stay in trousers for the wedding but have no idea of how to put an outfit together.

I'm 5 ft 7 size 8-10 and 42yrs old and would like to look elegant but not be mistaken for the waitress Grin

Any suggestions or ideas of what to look for GRATEFULLY received!!

I always think the key is to be comfortable, because if you're not it can ruin the day!

So,are you used to wearing heels? If not, find some lovely flats or wedges.

If you'd prefer to be in trousers, could you do smart white linen? Maybe with a sparkly sleeveless top, fitted jacket....

At your size and height you could wear pretty much anything, so you should play up your best bits - ie nice arms/legs/waist

maybe book a personal shoppper in John Lewis or wherever to try on some stuff?

Thanks already (I LOVE MN.. even tho I'm mostly a quiet reader..)

I'm not great in heels (shuffle like a man lol) and I tend to wear muted colours..I like black and grey but also greens and browns as I have reddish brown hair.
Budget... hmmm... can we say broke??:D

Thinking maybe white linen might be nice if it's not too cold by then...

I need to find out exactly HOW posh..I'm kind of scared to ask!!!!:)
