Where can I buy Waterproof Overtrousers for less than £15.00

It looks as waterproof jackets and trousers are quite expensive for the kids. They grow out of it very quickly. Are there any bargain shops where I could buy waterproof overtrousers for my toddler. Many thanks!

Have you tried GO Outdoors? I got an adult set for £8,99.

Thank you BeerTricksPotter. I will check their websites. Havealso found Regatta Kids Stormbreak Waterproof Overtrousers at Amazon but have no idea what they are.

GO Outdoors? I need to check. Thanks. Kids waterproof clothes are often overpriced.

I wonder whether TK Maxx would sell them? Might go there this weekend.

Decathlon, H and M or here

domesticsluttery · 12/08/2010 13:59

My children have these ones I think they were £3.50 in a local outdoors shop.

Octavia09 · 12/08/2010 14:01

BeerTricksPotter, I agree with you about the size. The little one has not had waterproof trousers yet. He loves being outside playing with a bit of mud. Looks like Peppa Pig.

Those Regatta overtrousers quite cheap. Are they are good in comparison to more expensive ones. May be the price should not matter when you play in the mud but I wonder whether the material is good.

Gosh yes, I just have The Universal Waterproofs which I bung on any child passing (and mine range from 8 to 14, but luckily youngest is plumpest so keeps them up...)

domesticsluttery · 12/08/2010 14:26

Well they last all three of mine a full 12 months (or more) of being worn in snow, rain, hail... they use them in school for outside learning and then they get chucked on the floor and trampled on instead of put away nicely... so yes I think they are excellent value!

LIZS · 12/08/2010 14:26

or Little Trekkers

baiyu · 12/08/2010 14:35

These are brilliant. Got DS's for a tenner but can't find the website. Definitely buy a size up and get 2 years wear. Best buy ever.

You can get a waterproof jacket and trousers on Ebay for under £10 brand new. Some of them are Regatta which I have for my kids and is very good at keeping them dry.

Octavia09 · 12/08/2010 15:18

If I do not find anything cheaper than £15.00 at TK Maxx this weekend then I order either trousers from Ebay or the all in one suit from the Waterproof World which is on sale. By the way, is it better to have all in one or a jacket and trousers?

Thank you so much everyone! Smile

I wish I had something like that when I was a child. Life would have been so much easier for my mum.

Mine all had all in ones until school age, then seperates as they were easier for them to take off independantly if they were in school etc.

LIZS · 12/08/2010 17:23

This style are good for lo's as they won't ride down and you can put a thicker jacket over in winter.

Octavia09 · 12/08/2010 22:31

Thank you ladies. My older one has Jump Overtrousers from Tchibo (German store). They were like £7.00 two years ago. The lining inside of the trousers is soft and warm which is good for winter.

a colleague said he got v cheap ones at Decathlon for his kids. But I haven't tried there (yet)

Octavia09 · 26/08/2010 17:19

Probably these http://www.decathlon.co.uk/EN/inverness-waterproof-trousers-137595968/
They are not that much cheaper than Regatta which you could get for as little as £3.99 plus £2.00 delivery or so.
But these look good.
