I haven't heard this but would be happy to see it happen. H&M are supposed to be going online later this year though - their customer services told me when I complained that there isn't one near enough to me.

A proper Zara site would be good too.....

chocolatefroggie · 11/08/2010 15:23

more excited about banana republic if it is true!

turkeyboots · 11/08/2010 15:25

Zara website says an online shop will be open on 2 Sept. Would love a Banana Republic online shop.

youngblowfish · 11/08/2010 15:25

Zara will be on-line on the 2nd of September :). I marked it in my calendar.

youngblowfish · 11/08/2010 15:28

Banana Republic and Gap website does say that they will be available on-line 'soon', whatever 'soon' means.

epithet · 11/08/2010 15:30

Pleeease let this be true. Nearest Gap/Zara are two hours drive away.

moragbellingham · 11/08/2010 19:49

About bloody time too!

rockbudgie · 11/08/2010 19:51

Oh I do hope so! That would be fantastic.

Right, in the meantime, I'm off to peruse asos.com...

Bellebelle · 11/08/2010 20:00

Banana Republic definitely online later this year, I shopped in the Regents Street branch last month and one of the sales assistants told me. Makes sense that Gap would do too as same company and the US site is really good.

Zara definitely online 2nd Sept too, hoping that they're going to stock everything

FunnyLittleFrog · 11/08/2010 20:16

Read this in the paper today. Good news!

Millie1 · 11/08/2010 21:54

Wonder where the goods will be shipped from? Was on Gap.com the other day and there's a headline re international shipping - it says a global e-commerce provider called Fifty One ships their products internationally to 50 countries - does that mean we have to pay tax at this end? Shall watch with interest as our Gap is also a 2hr drive.

tanmu82 · 12/08/2010 13:21

I have a GAP and Zara nearby, but they don't do the full ranges.....oooh, Banana Republic would be fab! I love their clothes but only go if I happen to be shopping in the west end (which is a very rare occurence!) They should also offer Old Navy if that's the case - on the US site you can order from any of the three and have it all shipped in one order from the same site.

I can't believe it has taken them so long to catch on to online shopping - why the delay?

RamblingRosa · 12/08/2010 13:36

Oooh, that's really exciting. Not so much about Gap because I live in London and there's one practically on every street corner but I'm really excited about Banana Republic.

I wonder if they'll do more ranges. The US Gap and BR website does a Tall range (online only) which I've been lusting after for years (the normal trousers are too short for me) but no UK delivery.

weepootle · 12/08/2010 13:41

At last! Excited about both Gap and Zara.

Bellebelle · 13/08/2010 18:46

H&M online in September too.

Can't think of any high street stores I like which aren't online now.
