Gold Shoes/accessories - Please help!

This is my first post on style and beauty so be kind!
I'm going to a wedding this Sat and have a dress that is a dark plum colour with very subtle gold thread flowers through it. I usually just stick black sandals on whatever I am wearing but realise this is a bit dull so thought I should get something new. Gold would look right to pick out the flowers but I've tended to avoid it for fear of looking like Marlene from Only Fools and Horses...

... can anyone help me to find some non-tacky gold shoes? Preferably with a heal but no too high as I'll be carrying a baby and am not too stable on high heals at the best of times!

Thanks

These could look nice as they are a subtle gold colour and will be stable because they are wedges

These are also not too tacky and don't look to have too high a heel so should be okay to walk in.

Hope that helps!

Too high?

moragbellingham · 10/08/2010 10:06

Too high again?
Gold but not tacky is proving more difficult than I imagined!

these?

Your title did say accessories too, so maybe opt for a gold cuff? There is a lovely gold fitted leather one in warehouse....

I tried it on the other day and it is really nice...

Thank you all for the replies - I know morag, gold and tacky seem to go together a lot of the time which is making me nervous... perhaps I should get the black heels out again!
Quite like the Dune wedges - I'll have to go and look at them, I often find wedges too heavy for wedding type clothing. Think I will go and look out the ones you've posted in Office and Debenhams and check the real life tack factor.
Muddleduck, your link took me to the brand alley home page. Maybe I have to be a member to see it?

aah sorry about that - will see if I can find them somewhere else...

sorry can't find them anywhere else - you may be able to navigate to the right page from the main BA page. They are listed under 'Sacco'.
