Wow really?

I would just be in the comfiest thing available for a drive like that.

cybilliberty · 09/08/2010 20:05

Yes go for a non sticky bum outfit. Bugger the glamour and Grace Kelly look. Put a bit of lippy on when you get out of the car.

duckyfuzz · 09/08/2010 20:11

thanks ladies, any comfy but cool and not linen ideas?

A jersey dress so it doesn't crease with denim jacket to throw on if its chilly and nice sandals/wedges/flip flops.

cybilliberty · 09/08/2010 20:15

We need to source a 'driving dress'

GeekOfTheWeek · 09/08/2010 20:15

Did this drive last year.

Seriously, go for comfort!

Katisha · 09/08/2010 20:17

You need one of those wide hats held on with a chiffon scarf, and sunglasses. And capri pants and a gingham shirt knotted at the waist. Flat pumps.

SOrted.

traceybath · 09/08/2010 20:21

Jersey dress

BelligerentGhoul · 09/08/2010 20:25

The White Company one is lovely irl - good quality and I don't think it would crease much. But for goodness sake, if you have norks, wear a cami under it because the woman in pic 3 on Tracey's link looks horrible with them all oozing out at the top like that!

traceybath · 09/08/2010 20:33

Thats hilarious BG - not quite the white co target market is she?

tethersend · 09/08/2010 20:58

Dress, bare legs and white lace up plimsolls

Or

White sleeveless blouse, capri pants and pumps.

tethersend · 09/08/2010 21:00

BG, I wasn't sure so checked with DP about the woman in the third picture. He looked for quite a while, and concluded that she looks fine.

Grin

I did it when I was 7 months pg once and I was semi naked most of the way with my feet in a bucket of ice cubes!

Seriously, do comfort. Nothing creasable. We're doing it in less than three weeks and I'll be in pedal pushers and a tee shirt.

thelunar66 · 09/08/2010 21:19

I did it in a tiny sports car in May. I took two skirts and two pairs of capri pants and many strappy vest tops in different colours. For emergency cold/wet weather, I had a soft cardi and a waterproof mac rolled up behind my seat and a pair of trainers wedged in the front boot.

I think there is a pic on my profile of me on said trip.

duckyfuzz · 09/08/2010 21:21

fab thanks v much, love the idea I could be half as glam as grace kelly, will do my best!

Lunar - your children are stunning. (Oh and you don't look half bad either!) :)

Tethers - I just looked at her again. There is deffo something not right about them - am sure they're not real.

tethersend · 09/08/2010 21:33

Someone's got a bit photoshop trigger happy, I reckon Wink
