In the absence of their reviews here goes- listen up Serendipity.

Upbeat wool mini- hmmm. Not sure yet. It came folded into 4 so is very creased right across the middle and lengthways too. Colour is brighter than on web- purple but quite a light bright shade- not what I expected. It is also pretty big fitting- I ordered the 10 and it's a bit loose round the waist.

Rostette riboon cardi- def. going back. Ordered a 10 as in between 8 and 10 and it's too big- not massively so, but doesn't look fitted. The aqua shade is too green and the charcoal is too dark. Fine maybe if you suit dark colours- I don't. Somehow looks middle aged.

Pleated scoop neck- is okay. Nothing to shout about, but useful everyday top- possibly keeping. Again it is very big fitting- ordered an 8 and it is more like a 10.

Merino Henley- don't like. Too long, sleeves too long, colour drab ( blue). Also big got size 8 and is massive.

Straight leg cords- keeping! Bought size 10 in dark grey. But will need to lose 3lbs which is intention anyway. Good fit round bum and thighs, but waist is tight- can only fasten by breathing in. Cord is softer than last year's which I returned, and feels/looks more like velvet.

So thta's it- now have to decide if there is anything i want to swap this lot for to keep my 20% discount!

I bought one of the wool minis a couple of years ago and I sent it back for the very reason you describe - it was actually a lovely skirt and I so wanted to keep it but the creases were so deep I just couldn't see them coming out. Boden should really think about delivering items like this hanging.

I bought the autumn printed skirt in brown craft flower size 12L, I was worried it would be too tight on me round the hips but it's a perfect fit. It also sits right on the natural waistline and is very flattering.

Am awaiting the grosgain heeled boots in black, have been searching for decent suede boots for ages. Am a little worried by the purple soles but hoping it's not too obvious.

I want to order the metropolitan cardigan in black when the 15% discount comes through, so if anyone has one of those I would be interested in your opinions.

I bought the washed leather blazer. It's going back as it is too short, especially in the back. Beautiful quality though. Such a shame.

LNAM is still working for me for a 15% discount plus free delivery and returns 101handbags. Pissed off with lack of reviews - am just about to email them again.Angry

Blossoming - shame about the leather blazer. I am after that too - was thinking of sizing up to a 10 as I find Boden coats & jackets quite small across the shoulders. Do you think that would make a difference? I am long in the body anyway so perhaps I need to give up on the idea of it and look elsewhere?

BTW, if anyone was thinking of foxy jumper dress for teen DDs/DNs.....don't bother. I thought it would be kind of ironic but actually it is but one stitch away from wearing a Winnie the Pooh tee.....Blush.....my only defence is that I was still recovering from a general anaesthetic when I ordered :o

Purplep Great thread and great review - would not expect anything less! Pity about the rosette cardi, but anyway good to get an honest review of it. Yes, I felt it could be a bit ageing also when I first looked at it but I'm a sucker for cardis with appendages!

Agree about the creasing on some items - even though the last 2 items I ordered from Boden (Copenhagen tunic) and straightleg crops were delivered in an enormous box with hangers!!

hoarsewhisperer · 09/08/2010 14:48

i bought the coat with the velvet edge along the bottom and its gone back already - was not particularly great quality cloth and the velvet was a bit cheapo looking to be honest. I also ordered a grey shift wool dress witha jewelled neckline which was huge in a 12 and utterly shapless - so that went back too.
i kept the short cashmere jumper with bell sleves, and a grey cardi with a sort of ruffle up the front and round the neck. Apologies i cant give you the names as i cant get boden to work while i am at work for some odd reason.

the kids stuff was great though....

Just heard from Boden re. reviews saying that they are having problems with their website and the "web support team" are working round the clock to fix it as the reviews are as useful to them as they are to us....Hmmm.

purplepeony · 09/08/2010 18:47

hoarse I was looking at the cashmere jumper with bell sleeves, but at £95 -20% it was still expensive.

The other cardi you mentioned took my fancy but it is very cropped- same length as cropped cash of which I have 2.
Thanks for the feedback on the dress- I was thinking of that one.

Serendipity- you migh t like the rosette cardi if it fitted you neatly and you suited the colours. The aqua does not look anything like the web photo. If they did it in pale grey I think I'd have bought one.
