I have found a fab scar-reducing product

it is called "Heal Gel" and is sold here .

I have been using it on my tummy tuck scar and it has made a rapid difference. Within 2 days of use, it has gone from red and raised (sounds vile but is actually quite normal at 6 weeks post-op) to barely noticeable. Have also used on a lumpectomy breast scar which is now 11 months old and it has vastly improved too.

Just thought I would mention as there have been lots of Bio Oil threads recently. This is expensive but you use just a little each time.

Tulpe - thats interesting as have read lots about that and wondered if it was any good.

May get some for c-section scar which is still quite red and bumpy.

Hows your tummy looking?

Hi TB

I would say this product is perfect for c-section scarring - afterall, it is pretty much the same as TT scar, just smaller.

Tummy looking fab :) I am now standing upright (as opposed to the tummy tuck stoop.....very aging, don't recommend it!) Tummy button is already healed and is looking perfect. I am so pleased I went ahead with the surgery. It has had such an impact (not least of all on my credit card statements........Outnet & NAP's lingerie stock has been seriously depleted :o )

Only downer is that all this enforced inactivity has caused weight gain :( I am fine wearing my regular dresses/tunics & leggings combos but have just had to go out and buy jeans 2 sizes bigger (my weight gain always sits on thighs and ass). Thankfully, surgeon gave me the all-clear to exercise this week so hopefully will be back in my regular jeans before too long.
