My mum bought DD a coat from next. On the hanger I hated it.

But I tried it on her this morning and its alot nicer on!

It actually really suits her but I'm not sure if I can get past the material an the quiltedness!

what do you think?

She bought her a little red beret too!

Hmm it is a bit odd, but if you can live with it and it's reasonably practical I'd keep it, as it would be nice for your mum to see her wear it. (Unless she's miles away and doesn't see DD much!) They grow out of stuff don't they...

yama · 07/08/2010 17:47

I like it. A lot.

LynetteScavo · 07/08/2010 17:48

No I don't like it.

You did ask!

DinahRod · 07/08/2010 17:48

I like the colour/style but the material is a bit shiney for my taste. Otoh, grandma bought it and dd looks cute...

TotorosOcarina · 07/08/2010 17:53

Out of ALL the coats on next its the last I would pick!

I like it. Practical, warm and with a hood - and a very nice colour.

TotorosOcarina · 07/08/2010 17:54

I'd rather have this to match her hat

That duffle is lovely! Nice for autumn and spring, but probably not warm enough for winter.

TotorosOcarina · 07/08/2010 18:19

She has other big puffer coats and snow suits for winter Lynette :)

i don't like it at all.
its a bit bianca jackson, looks like its will go up in flames if you go anywhere near anything hot.

i do really like the duffle though and am thinking of that for dd, or the boden version.

here

that reminds me, i ment to start a threadasking what color scaft to go with this coat...

TotorosOcarina · 08/08/2010 17:37

Am swapping it for the duffle!

Called my mum and asked if it was OK.

Yey!

Don't Look Now springs to mind.

TotorosOcarina · 08/08/2010 18:21

No idea what that means gramercy.

My dd has a red coat (not as shiny) but I love it, it looks great on her. It's no big deal even if it's horrible though, it's only a child's coat!!

duffle coats not as waterproof...

happilyeverafter · 08/08/2010 18:50

No, it's too shiny, makes me think of binbags.

However your DD might look and feel adorable in it which is all that matters.

LibertyGibbet · 08/08/2010 19:14

dd has a beautiful red duffle that I got from a charity shop. We call it her Don't Look Now coat.

It may not be as waterproof but I'd swap. And buy and umbrella.

MarineIguana · 08/08/2010 20:10

Rofl gramercy! OP it's a 60s (?) film in which a scary dwarf in a red coat appears at the end.
