Expensive jeans.....

I have several pairs of jeans which are fine for day to day.
However, I would really like a nice pair of going out/work.
Which are the really expensive ones people rave about- and are they as good as people claim?
I don't want to mail order- would prefer to go into London to the shop-which is the best place?

I'm assuming these jeans go up to a 34inch inside leg......

Seven jeans are well worth every penny - make me look far taller and thinner than I actually am.

As for the best place in London to shop for them: Selfridges (has a lot of the brands mentioned on this thread, biggest selection I've seen so far), Browns in Bond St and Matches in Mayfair, Marylebone and Notting Hill.
