dress for a funeral

ok be gentle with me. I need something to wear for a funeral on Saturday. I have lost 6 stone since last May going from a too small in 28 to a 16/18/20 depending on fit/ shop/ style. Anything that fits me is summer holiday/ outfit for a wedding/ jeans and t shirt etc., so on top of feeling shaky about having to go to a funeral of a friend who has died suddenly and far too early, I am obsessing about what to wear. I ran around House of Fraser in a panic earlier and bought this; I wanted something understated that I would wear again and definately not black, but this was the only thing I liked/ it fitted. So reassure me that it's ok and/ or advise me how to accessorise, or add a colour to tone it down? If fits well, is flattering but just seems very black!

Sorry to hear about your friend.

I think the dress you got is really nice and very appropriate. Maybe get a necklace from accessorize. Something simple.

Take care

how about this necklace ? I like the dress. It is just right.

the dress is just right, I agree a necklace to lift it and maybe shoes/ handbag that aren't black, but it's a funeral so no one will think it inappropriate if you do wear black accessories as well.
so sorry about your friend

thanks - I think I'm obsessing about the clothes because thats a whole lot easier than thinking about the rest of it! will have a look in Accessorize tomorrow.
