Can anyone help me with european baby clothes sizes

Hi,

I am trying to buy some fab unisex baby clothes on www.jako-o.com and they come in sizes: 56/62, 68/74, 80/86, 92/98, 104/110

Anyone know what this translates to in terms of how old the baby is - eg what is 0-3 months, what is 3-6 months etc

Thanks

very roughly, the sizes are measured in centimeters, so if you have an idea how big the child is it*s really easy to get the right size.

56/62= 0-3m
68/74= 3-6m
80/86= 6-9m
92/98= 9-12m
104/110= 12-24m

from experience the sizes are generous, especially trousers.

I think it's more

0-2m = 56cm
2-4m = 62cm
4-6m = 68cm
6-9m = 74cm
9-12m = 80cm
12-18m = 86cm
2y = 92cm
3y = 98cm
4y = 104cm
5y = 110cm
6y = 116cm
7y = 122cm
8y = 128cm

I'd like to see a 24-month-old who was 110cm tall (well, I probably wouldn't. That would be scarily big...).

I think jako-o is austrian, austrian children are big

my ds is 3 and wears size 110...

belgo · 05/08/2010 17:20

My children are average height and to give you an idea, ds is 22 months and in size 86-92cm
and dd2 is nearly five years old and in size 110-116cm.

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 05/08/2010 17:22

Yes, but an average Austrian 18-24 month old being 110 cm high?

DS is 5 and wears 110 trousers because he has stumpy little legs like me, but 116 tops.

mamaloco · 05/08/2010 17:34

56/62 3 month
68 cm 6 months
74 1 y
82 cm 1.5 y
86 cm 2
98 cm 3
104 cm 4y
110 5
116 6
128 8

that's south europe, north europe (US and UK) 74 cm is 9 months, and then you adjust the rest.

mousymouse · 05/08/2010 17:49

dd is 7 months and wears size 86

belgo · 05/08/2010 17:52

I agree with Mamaloco, that's the way it works in Belgium. French clothes tend to be smaller for their size.

thank you!
