So where DO we like shopping?

So Boden is a bit meh this autumn and Mint Velvet is all grey. This much have I garnered from S&B recently.

But I am a newly slimmed down size 14 (may not be impressive to the wise and avid bunch but hey - it a damn sight better than than the 26 that I once was!) and I have money to dispose of.

I need a whole new Autumn /Winter wardrobe having survived on charity shop finds for the last year. I am, however, intimidated by the High Street and haven't shopped clothes in years.

So where should I be looking?

Total budget spend £500 ish, size 14 bottom, size 12 top, will be 40 next year, LOVE shoes and accessories - SAHM mum so workplace glamour not required but casual gorgeousness is the goal.

I am also size 12/14 .I have had recent success with Great Plains[sale stuff]-knitted bamboo dresses that will work over leggings.La redoute - silk/cotton t's in different colours and White stuff - sale t-shirts/shirts.M&s was good last winter for tunicy dresses to wear over leggings.Duo is brilliant for boots,Tesco's for cashmere, and TkMaxx for coats and knitwear.I would also recommend nydj jeans and i have noticed that M&S are doing something similar with 25% lycra jeans.Has anyone tried these yet?.

Yes it was the outnet sale

What I don't mention is that its currently at the tailors being let out so I can breathe in it

Oh yes - the white company is good too. And you know the odd bit of boden is fine too.

another vote here for Whistles. I've bought several things there lately and been impressed. They have some lovely new stuff for Autumn o their website. Also Asos. Good customer service, free delivery and returns, and you can really see how something will look. Massive choice too

I am now a total White Company convert - but only in the sales. The clothes feel really soft and lovely. Nothing is fashiony - just nice basics in muted colours. I would say they come up slightly big, in that I'm wearing medium, which is a teeny bit loose on me (size 12). I didn't try small but it would probably have fit.

Im loving Whistles dresses, I havent bought anything else from there. They are so flattering and you only need a couple. They are abit more fashiony but, we all need abit of fashion without looking like mutton. Look at Whistles, see what you like and then go online to John Lewis for free delivery.
