Do you think this coat is classic enough to last...

Love this coat which is actually hard to see in these pics but is a beautiful buttery suede.

I get wary of suede because of maintaining it but this is so lovely. I think it is a classic enough cut to last a while but wary of buying one season wonder.
D'you think it looks like a keeper?

That's a really nice coat. I have a black suede one that is quite similar, the annoying thing is I don't like to wear it in the rain, they wind up getting a spotty look from it, it limits how much use I get out of it. Mine wasn't so expensive though,(bought it a few yrs ago).

I don;t wear leather or suade in the rain because it is a) not a good warm material and b) because it does not smell good when mixed with rain!

To me, the coat looks a little big on the shoulders of the model - not a good fit. And leather suade really stretches around the elbows especially, once it is out of shape it's usually like that forever.

I don't like that. It is so expensive and the buttons are horrible and it's just not that nice. sorry. You could get a much nicer coat for £500!

The photo is really shit and the coat is much better in real life but I shall ponder a bit - especially about it possibly stretching. I think Nicole Farhi has some nice coats this year. I have a few great school walk, dog walk coats. I would just like a coat for putting on over a dress to go to supper etc
