After two weeks of searching, I have found the perfect dress for a wedding on Friday.....or so I hope!
have a look here please , go to occasion wear, then dresses, then Morella silk kaftan dress (it's orange) on the 2nd page I think

flamesparrow · 24/08/2005 18:14

Very pretty.

I likes lots of em on there.... I want pennies now and somewhere to wear it!

Frenchgirl · 24/08/2005 18:15

the girl in the shop told me lots of people have tried it on and it seems to suit everyone! Not sure whether I was meant to feel flattered.....

Frenchgirl · 24/08/2005 18:18

thanks girls, I shopped with dd so it's nice to have grown up women's opinions!
dd's comment when I was trying a wrap dress at Hobbs: is that a dressing gown mummy? oh well, I thought it was rather sexy and slimming...

Frenchgirl · 24/08/2005 18:20

for dd's skirt, go to skirts, not dresses....

what tummy?
it's not too clingy, skims it rather than clings, depends how tight you do the belty thing under the bust
Have nice simple black sandals to go with it
a bit buggered for bag though.... have beautiful red one but might be too many different colours

LOL, I though it was you who was getting married Frenchgirl and I was just debating whether to post that I didn't think it was appropriate for a wedding dress! Also found it odd that you weren't going to splash out on new shoes and bag for your own wedding!

For attending a wedding I agree the dress and your DD's skirt are gorgeous! Have a great time!

lol cod no it doesn't make me look pregnant, there's a fabric belt that ties at the back and goes under breasts, so it has a lot of shape
what shoes then? I don't want to buy any (really wanted some silver sandals as dress has silver in it.... sniff)
merci ks, you could wear this anywhere now that you're leaving 'the village'
