Peacocks sizing has scaled the heights of ridiculousness.

I am sitting here in a size 10 top.

If I am a size 10 than i will eat my bra. All my tops are at least a 14, the vast majority are a 16, some are even an 18. I have a 38 inch E cup bust ffs!

The only reason I ended up with it at all is that it was on the wrong peg, it was on a size 16 peg and it was £3 in the sale so I just grabbed it. it's nice, it's a plain black scoop neck cotton t-shirt.

but I cannot trust ANYTHING I but in that shop. The sizes are never right! I bought size 14 knickers that were larger than the size 18 knickers they had been selling 3 months previously.

I know what you mean.

I (size 14 on a good day) bought size 12 bottoms from them which I wore when I was 8 months pg (didn't get to 9).

Yep. I once tried a size 10 skirt that fell off me. And a pair of 14 shorts that were too tight

I bought a dress in Next a month ago. I tried on a size 10 as usually i'm a 10/12 anfd i was feeling optimistic.

I ended up going down to a size 6 in order for it to fit right

I'm 5'9, 34E with childbearing hips..... even when i was a teenager and was referrred to as 'anorexic looking' (thanks aunty ) i never fitted into size 6.... i've had 3 kids since then!

I have a pair of size 8 jeans from Next which are too big.

However I am a large in Zara.

Doesn't make sense at all, does it.

GeekOfTheWeek · 02/08/2010 14:50

I know the feeling.

I am a size 8 in my head and a 14 in the shops

I bought some size 10 denim shorts in Peacocks, they just fell off me. I bought another pair in Tesco, size 8, they fit quite well with a little room to spare. I have 37" hips and am definitely NOT a size 8.
