Winter coats - Boden one disaster....what do you have your eye on?

I ordered the chic wool coat and it is hideous. No shape, wide but short sleeves, looks like something Emily Bishop would wear.

Why do I never learn? I ordered a dress from there last year (too big and bad length)

I am looking for a wool coat, not black, beautifully tailored, without the beautiful price.

Can anyone link to on of their favourites for inspiriation?! Please?

It's too early to start talking about coats, but this winter I want a statement coat. Something like Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl would wear.

I know it is early for the winter coat conversation, but I always like to look early so I can get a good idea of what I want.

Jaeger, Hobbs , try an outlet like Bicester Village for first rate designer stuff (prob last season). Or wait for the aviator jackets to hit the shop if you want something more current-fifteen-minutes.

I have been wondering the same thing, every year I hunt for a winter coat and every year I am disappointed. I am going to get a neutral mac for rainy days but cannot find anything reasonably priced in the coat line! I like classic, but don't want black. Booo.

What about Boden's Islington coat?

It's a bit too soon but I'd keep your eyes on Kew, Jigsaw, LK Bennett, even Jaegar. Possibly even M&S Autograph and J Lewis own label which is getting a bit trndier.

Tk Maxx,but i don't know whether they are in yet.Last year i got a german 90% cashmere coat in grey [reduced from 375 - 75],an italian really nicely cut down coat,and a duffel-type grey heavy italian wool coat.Plus a camel coat in the sale from Laura ashley .I have to say as i have lived overseas these are the first coats i have bought in 7 years - and they will probably last me many years!.However if you want something different and are prepared to spend the time looking,its definitely worthwhile.

Apparently camel (the colour!) is very in this winter. I think it's a bit early for coat shopping yet - should be a lot more around by September

i bought a beautiful winter coat at the car boot sale today for a fiver. Betty Jackson it is a moss Green same style as the Blue one in that pic...its gorgeous. Iam not buying any more Summer stuff and thinking ahead to Autumn
