help short sleeve cardy needed

Hi I am off on holiday next week and have bought a maxi dress.It's lovely but I need a short sleeve cardy to wear with it.
The dress is mostly black jersey with an abstract/random sort of circle design in white.
I am size 5ft 7 14/16 with a long body so a cropped style is fine but I hate cap sleeves and would like something nearer the elbow but still short IYKWIM.
I love all colours but black might be too dark with this dress.Any ideas?

I got a lovely red one from Asda and a black one from Evans. Also have a long body and like elbow length sleeves so often struggle. The Asda one has pockets too which is always handy.

I can't find it on their website but have now got my eye on a couple of other ones. Oh dear!

Look at M&S - they have 100% cotton cropped ones, with elbow-length sleeves, for only 12 pouns apiece. A lot of the colours are hideous but the black, grey and khaki are all nice.
