Can you recommend a decent smelling hairspray?

I've just had a new fringe cut and need it to keep swished to the side rather than falling in a line down the middle of my forehead (nice look). I've tried Elnette to hold it there but it STINKS! And not just initially, all day.

Can anyone recommend something that smells lovely? Doesn't need to be rock hard hold. Ta muchly.

Oh yes, Elnette does smell disgusting. And it costs £££.

Supermarket own brands (about 50-70p)are usually good and smell normal.

I have a lovely one - James Brown I think? I got it in Boots, the bottle is white with swirly black writing.

It is a soft hold one, so no stickiness, and it smells fab - I am pregnant and have uber-nose and it still smells nice.

Thank you ladies. Quick trip to Boots is in order... although they may think I'm a solvent addict if I start sniffing all of their hairspray cans....

Ellnett do an unperfumed one, it's got the green square on it. Tis ace!

Yes, agree Elnett unperfumed is definitely best bet - they only do it in the medium size though.

I will try the James Brown London (white can) as am unable to get hold of the James Brown London SCANDALOUS in the black can.
That is a seriously delightful smell, so much so, my daughter was using it randomly for the general pleasant aroma!!
Boots used to sell it, but it has now been discontinued however I am given to understand that Superdrug will be stocking it from August 2010, so keep an eye out, as it really is the best smelling product I have ever come across, which also actually holds your hair, without weight and stickyness. 10/10 in my opinion, why Boots stopped stocking is a mystery!
