Colour strand test - do I have to pay?

My DH has booked me a hair appointment and a pamper session in a local salon tomorrow.

He has popped to tesco with my cards to do some shopping. He has left me with no cash.

The salon have just called to ask me to pop in to ask for a colour strand test. I have agreed but have just thought will I have to pay? I don't want to sound like an idiot phoning up to ask.

I guess I a going to have to.

Hi drafty, you shouldn't have to pay for this. It's to keep their insurance valid as much as for your safety so it should be free.

That is what I was hoping. I feel like a daft drafty.

No charge.
Very handy if you react to the dye like I did 2 days pre-wedding. I ended up with one VERY red ear!
