I am ashamed to say this, but the only clothes I have bought in over a year are a pair of 3/4 kahkis for a fiver from the market on holiday, and a top in Asda! I have a little money coming in (I have diverted a little of my student grant for the purpose) but don't know what to buy. I don't want to look like the Uni's biggest fuddy duddy for sure, neither do I want to out trendy the 18 yr olds (I am 32 btw). It must also be suitable for cycling there and back.

I'm losing weight at the mo., lost 11 lbs so far with 11 to go, and for the first time in years am a 'healthy' weight medically, so can shop in proper shops at last!

Also mneed a hair cut that'sd short but not blokeish or hugely un-cool (I have naturally curly hair which has to be tamed by keeping short), hasn't been cut since April!!!

Wait until you enrol and get your NUS card because with that you get 10% off in quite a few clothes shops (Topshop, Oasis, Dorothy Perkins, Faith)!

I would definately buy some jeans that you can dress up or down. Wear them with flats or trainers.
Go to the shops and get a feel of the style you want and see whats in...
Most people at uni dress pretty casually, jeans and fitted jumpers are quite popular, or skirts with boots. Ooh get a folk style skirt!

Oh and River Island has £10 off combats at the moment I think

Good luck!

yeah, I like those skirts, I was considering one. Hmm. And some boots, obviously.
