Is this too dressy for casual day wear?

I bought this for a special occasion a little while ago. I love it, and want to wear it again in the last couple of months of my pregnancy, but don't have any reason to. Can I dress it down for normal everyday wear? How?

casual snadlas such as birkis or gladiators, flip flops, no jewellery, very little make up and slightly messed up just got out of bed hair?
its the accessories that make it day time or going out imo.

That is the nicest maxi dress I've ever seen, especially in the purple. Would be fine for day, with with a denim jacket over and sandals.

Not at all, it's too beautiful to be hidden away, you could make it look a bit more casual by teaming it with some flat strappy sandals like these and some bangles like these. You could also wear a cardi with it too if it's cooler. Enjoy wearing your lovely dress .

Thanks all, I'm not much of a dress wearer in general, so just needed a bit of a boost in confidence that I wouldn't look overdressed in it.

I think it is easy to feel overdressed in a maxi but let me assure you that everyone around you will be casting admiring glances at your casually chic style, not wondering if you got lost on the way to a ball

wem that is gorgeous! I agree that it's too nice to be hidden away,some flat pumps or sandals and a light cardi will dress it down a bit. But sometimes it's nice to get dressed up and feel glam even if you're just going to the shops!
