Would you wear red shoes with a black dress

to an interview? Or am I being barmy.

I've bought a plain black dress for an interview and wanted to not look like I'm going to a funeral so thought I might wear red shoes/red necklace with it. Would this be very wrong, help I don't have much dress sense. Its not a very formal interview at all.

Sounds good to me. I love a pair of red shoes with a plain outfit, brightens it up.

I would. I think as long as they are obviously day shoes (by that not sparkly Wizard of Oz type).

I often wear black shift dresses and coloured shoes - today I have on a black knee length shift and jade green shoes, with a necklace with a bit of green in it.

No doubt other S&B types will be along soon to say I am a fashion freak but I think it looks nice.

And I work in a very conservative environment, nobody has ever batted an eyelid, so think will be fine for an interview. Good luck!

Agree with GOML, I would. Am, in fact, wearing red shoes with black trousers and a white shirt today, and a red necklace and earrings. Also wear the red accessories with a plain black wrap dress and a black shirt dress.

Good luck!

They are day shoes.

Right, that's the outfit sorted. Thanks for the replies.
