Anyone had lip enhancement?

I have booked for a consultation- top dr in London so no real worries- for some really subtle work- as my lips have always been thin and in my 50s are thinner -and it's semi permanent not like Lesley Ash' s lips.

However, they did say there would be some swelling for a few days which is a bind as I wanted it done during my holiday period and they can't fit me in.

I work part time with kids and don't really fancy being on show with swollen lips- anyonehad it done?

I have and wouldn't have it done again - change my face too much. For a more subtle look make sure they just inject into the body of your lip not around the lip line. I had both and it looked weird. (semi permanent too) or just have a tiny bit first. There will be swelling and when I looked in the mirror at first I thought, Oh my christ! but it does go down after a day or three.

Their website says they do not inject into lip line for the reasons you say. They have also warned about a few days swelling.

I've never seen one that looks natural. But if the consultant can show you examples of their work, then perhaps I am wrong. The thing with doing anything to your face is that it will look quite obvious, as you see yourself every day and know it so well.

I am looking at Tracy Mountford's site with some photos on there.

I was told she uses 0.5ml of Restylane at first to see how you like it.
