I've tried on a few and they just don't fit well. M+S have a great range but they don't cater well for tall ladies. Any suggestions gratefully received.

How tall are you? I am 5ft 8

ladylush · 23/07/2010 21:25

5ft 10

Oh. Well I bought this and have been really pleased.

jollydiane · 23/07/2010 21:30

I am sure some taller ladies than me will be along soon.

FanjolaLansbury · 23/07/2010 21:34

try this site

madrush · 23/07/2010 21:37

I've resorted to buying my proper exercise swimsuits at shops like BHS & M&S that still seem to do longer length on some ranges. If I want a slightly nicer one, Long Tall Sally are sometimes ok. Or I brave it with a bikini!

hewlettsdaughter · 23/07/2010 21:38

What about a tankini?

bristols · 23/07/2010 21:40

Have you looked on bravissimo's site? I'm not tall but have a really long back (short legs!)and I got a great one from there.

ladylush · 23/07/2010 21:43

thanks jollydiane - I like the neckline on that one but I am a generous C cup and keep finding that the bustline on the costumes don't line up with my bustline! Glad it fits you well though

Fanjola - thanks for info. Bit pricey but I might well have to shell out to get the right fit. Just had a look at this one on line and am thinking of ordering as such a good price - plus I like the fifties look.

Sorry didn't see the other posts. Thanks everyone
Madrush - not brave enough for a bikini!
Hewlett - I've worn a tankini before but the top kind of billowed whilst I was swimming which was really annoying.
bristols - thanks for tip, will check out bravissimo

When I say generous C cup I mean I am almost a D cup (but I am revelling in the C cup status as had a recent measure and was over the moon to find out I had gone from an E to a C )

I believe Landsend do long torso.

ladylush · 23/07/2010 22:35

Thanks jolopy - I might consider them. Had a look. They've got 4 of varying prices.

Can't do bravissimo as they start at a D cup. Did I mention how happy I am to be a C cup?

sorry jalopy

I have tried the lts one on in shop, but too short for me (am 6ft though)

Chandon · 25/07/2010 08:00

...I wear bikinis for this reason. Although, after 2 massive babies my belly isn`t exactly fab!

ladylush · 25/07/2010 08:05

Wow Chandon - the lts one is too short I thought the whole point of lts is to fit tall ladies - and at 6ft you are tall but I'd have expected their clothes to fit women even taller iyswim.

Triumph do good ones for tall ladies. They aren't the cheapest but they seem to last as well.

ladylush · 25/07/2010 08:21

thanks kathyjelly - i ordered the lts one but if it's too short or doesn't look good I'll have a look at triumph

Lands End have a great range of long body swimwear, and the quality is fantastic

deaddei · 25/07/2010 20:39

Just joining in as a 6 footer- I bought a couple from Debenham's longer length range last year- still not brilliant.
LTS are baggy for me.

Come the revolution, there will be whole shopping centres devoted to those of us long of limb and foot

ladylush · 26/07/2010 08:50

Thanks both of both of you Landsend gets another vote - will try them if the lts one doesn't fit. Hoping the fit will be ok on me as I am less than 6ft and curvy - so hopefully it won't be baggy. More worried about the bust cos halterneck can be dodgy.

I am average height but have short stumpy legs a long body so need long swimsuits - I currently have one from Land's End who do a range of styles in a long fitting. Figleaves also have some long fitting swimwear.
