no packed them up when babies were 2/3 wks old and tummy had contracted.
put them in a box and said good bye.

I wore mine for about a month then treated myself to some new (enormous) clothes. Finally got into old clothes at 6 months.

Saw a friend yesterday who gave birth to an 11 pounder 3 weeks ago who is back in her size 8 jeans

hermykne · 21/08/2005 12:24

anchovies my 2nd was 11lb too, took me 8mths to get back into my normal clothes,
i bet your friend is tall

Hmmm, yes me!

Although I had 8 stone to lose - cumulative effect of 2 pregnancies etc etc.

Lost nearly 6 stone of it now and binned all maternity clothes.

Gobbledigook · 21/08/2005 12:27

For the first few weeks probably, especially after ds1. Was back in my normal cords/jeans after 2 weeks with ds3 - 3 boys under 4 =n o sitting down = losing weight pronto without much effort!

pmsl at that freudian slip - ouch

puff · 21/08/2005 12:32

Yes - it was!!! Wasn't really the pregnancies that did the damage, but comfort eating because something really bad happened.

Anyway, the difference physically, now I shifted most of it is great.

I have promised myself never to let my weight get out of hand again.

I find maternity clothes unutterably depressing once I have squeezed baby out.

stretchy stuff and dhs trackpants for home for me.
