Hair Clips for big-haired ladies!

OK, hopefully, there will be some wise MNer who might be able to help me with a dilemma. It ain't life-or-death but just a bit of a niggle...

I have LOTS of hair. I used to use a really good hairclip (from Accessorise) that would hold it really well. The design is a metal clasp on the back of a flower or what ever. The clasp had a spring (??) and the metal bar would clip into the middle of two prongs at one end (??)

Now this is a fairly standard hairclip design, and I used to have a few which would hold my hair just fine. The trouble is, the similar designs now have a much smaller clip (about 3 inches long instead of about 4 or 5) or they are just a slide or on a brooch pin.

Sorry to ramble, but any suggestions where I could get something similar?

OOh - barrettes - think I recognise that word. Had a quick look and my favourite was £165. Think I'll try the £14.95 one.

I think claires have a little sticker on some of their products that says for thick hair.worth a look? normal ones aren't big enough for my mop.

I have the same trouble, sometimes I can get them in normal shops but usually I go to a chemist in an area with a large Bangladeshi population - a lot of the women there have loads of hair too.

Their hair accessories are horrendously expensive BUT SO worth it. They work brilliantly, they are really good on your hair, and they last and last. In the end, they end up better value than the cheap ones that break the first time your drop them or you toddler gets a grip on it.
